My revolutions as photographer met personal revoutions of subjects. In this Triptych period of about 6 years, I was attracted to those engaged in transitions of some importance to themselves. Making such photographs take time building relationships, and this has been the most rewarding part of this life's work as a maker of things that require being present in moments of light. This sculptor (based across from where I was living on Pisareeva Street in Kolomna area of St. Petersburg, Russia) and his studio revealed a career and a recognisable political progression for a country and city through select historical figures he has been commissioned to make over time.  My studio was the studio of others, be it a place of work or the streets and institutions that people co~create by virtue of shared space.
