The fresco on the opposite wall of this play area mirrors the facade of the school itself. Bit of an optical illusion. To make this photo I stood atop the steps near the arched exit door; you can see the stair rail on lower left corresponding to its facsimile in the fresco. Do students imagine themselves in this wall art, looking out their classroom window--or during play? To me this fresco, if it creates beauty, enchantment, or a living history in this context, is heroic and constructively subversive.
