P O R T F O L I O S
O V E R V I E W

From 1999-2006, my work developed around a triptych of projects
pursued in 3 urban regions in 3 revolutionary European cities.

As resident and artist, I networked within chosen geography.  My process resulted in portraiture of transitional spaces and the people creating such spaces.  The photographic outcomes respond to prevailing and enduring personal, local, and global elements specific to each community and project.

Please find here small sequences of images grouped to highlight some prevailing themes or ways of seeing inspired by the communities that were home to each of these 3 projects (Kolomna, Paris 6.5, and The Liberties).

Since 2006, my work expands in many ways.  For projects featured here, I have worked extensively with asylum-seekers and others displaced and in long-term transition.

These collaborations with subject matter parallel an ongoing dialogue with expressive tools, an adaptive picture plane, and chosen subjects.   My core interests remains as tools I employ in my work proliferate.
